[Samba] Can't access remote server
kwang at kwang.org
Mon Dec 8 16:58:48 GMT 2003
RedHat 9, samba-2.2.7a-8.9.0. Fresh install. No iptables or any firewall
I can access my server fine locally with smbclient, but using smbclient from
a machine located in a network I get this:
[kwang at gorgon kwang]$ smbclient //webdev.ic2.org/home
added interface ip=184.108.40.206 bcast=220.127.116.11 nmask=255.255.240.0
added interface ip=192.168.0.2 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
error connecting to 18.104.22.168:139 (No route to host)
Error connecting to 22.214.171.124 (No route to host)
Connection to webdev.ic2.org failed
Attempting this through Windows Explorer also fails.
My hosts allow and hosts deny are both blank.
Are there any settings that I need to check to enable the server to respond
to outside connections?
