HP-UX configure

I am trying to go to Samba 2.0.6 and when trying to do
 "./configure " on a HPUX-11.0 system I got the
following output:

WARNING: No automated network interface determination
ERROR: No seteuid method available
configure: error: summary failure Aborting config

Is there somthing I am missing? Is there a way around this?
Any suggestions would be apreciated.
