[Samba] Lost PDC switching from 2.2.3a to 2.2.7a

I upgraded from SuSE 8.0 running 2.2.3a to SuSE 8.2 running 2.2.7a.  I 
immediately lost the WIN NT4 PDC so the Windows machines we unable to see the 
Linux machine.  I removed and re-added the computer on the PDC.  I then 
rejoined the domain through smbpasswd.  This did not resolve the problem.  I 
noticed the MACHINE.SID file no longer existed.  Any suggestions would be 
appreciated.
