[Samba] RedHat 9

Has anyone encountered any errors while setting up Samba 2.2.a while using RedHat's latest release?  
 
When I tried to add a newly configured 2000 machine to a Samba domain I receive an error that the semaphore timeout period has expired.  I had seen this error back on RedHat 7.3, but have resolved that one.
