[Samba] Help compiling

I am using OS X and during compiling it thinks the system supports 
setresuid/setresgid which it does not but compiles anyway.  When I try 
to use SAMBA, I get these errors:

[2003/04/14 13:51:37, 0] lib/util_sec.c:assert_gid(111)
   Failed to set gid privileges to (0,99) now set to (99,99) uid=(0,0)
[2003/04/14 13:51:37, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(1094)
   PANIC: failed to set gid

Could someone please tell me how to compile without setresuid/setresgid?
