[Samba] Re: Domain password server not available

Mon Apr 21 15:16:00 GMT 2003

This is the same problem that I am seeing with a Win2K PDC. I can join
the domain and everything looks good, however I can not access the
directories from Windows. If I change the security to server everything
works fine, however I need the security set to domain for support with
some applications.

Did you specify the "PDC" in your smb.conf or are you broadcasting for
it? (eg. "password server = *")

Can you resolve the domain controller from your Samba machine?

good luck,
