[Samba] "File does not exist" errors

I keep finding entries like the following:

[date/time] [error] [client address] File does not exist: 
/apache_document_root/samba_share_directory
---
in my Apache error log. I don't have samba share directories within my 
Apache document root.

None of the users of the server have reported problems when mounting a 
share directory.

What does this error message indicate? Is this an configuration error 
with Samba or Windows XP? Is this something I should just ignore because 
there is nothing I can do about it?
