Hi,
i just compiled and installed samba-3.0-alpha23 !
I have a problem and i can't figured out why ! :)
When i configured the sources, i use :
./configure --with-ads --with-ldap --with-pam_smbpass --with-ldapsam --with-tdbsam --with-winbind
make
make install
all goes ok, except for some warning and compilation error...dues to younh alpha release.
BUT :
1- One :
when i try to use the "net ads" command i receive this error :
--------------------------------------
clnodo2:/usr/local/samba/lib # net ads
ADS support not compiled in
clnodo2:/usr/local/samba/lib #
--------------------------------------
someone can help me ?
I compile samba with ADS support as you can see from the configure command, but from the error it seems not !
2- Second :
When i try the "net join" command i see :
----------------------------------------------------------
clnodo2:/usr/local/samba/lib # net join -U graziano.roccon
[2003/04/14 14:03:21, 1] utils/net.c:net_find_server(225)
no server to connect to
Unable to find a suitable server
[2003/04/14 14:03:23, 1] utils/net.c:net_find_server(225)
no server to connect to
Unable to find a suitable server
---------------------------------------------------------
This is my smb.conf file, the "ads server" entry is correct !!!
--------------------smb.conf----------------------------
clnodo2:/usr/local/samba/lib # cat smb.conf
realm = AEM
#ads server = tr2kd001a
ads server = 10.90.100.110
security = ADS
encrypt passwords = yes
# Impostazioni per il demone winbindd
winbind separator = +
winbind uid = 10000-20000
winbind gid = 10000-20000
winbind enum users = yes
winbind enum groups = yes
clnodo2:/usr/local/samba/lib #
-------------------------------------------------------
Could you help me in some way to understand why this happen ?
3- Third :
Using another smb.conf, where there are the "security=domain", "workgroup=AEM", and the "server=tr2kd001a" entries :
using "wbinfo -u" i can see the users list of the domain AEM-SIN that is a NT4-domain, but not of AEM that is a domain (or realm as you wish) Windows-2000.
Any ideas ?
Thanks a lot to all !
And sorry for my english.....i am italian :)
