[Samba] Samba 2.2.3a joining windows 2000 domain

Hmmm...both my domain (EMPIRE) and DC name (VADER) are well shy of 15
characters.  So is the linux box's SMB name (SIDIOUS).  (Gotta love
StarWars themes, eh? :)

Any other suggestions?
