[Samba] Samba over a routed network?

I have set up a VPN from my home "office" to the "work" "office".  And I
want to access our Windoze file server from home.
Home network: 192.168.55.0
Office Network: 192.168.5.0

I can access the office server through IP address, but not through the name.
If the IP Address changes, I have to re-connect.  IS there a way to run
samba to pass computer name information between two subnets?
