[Samba] tdb corruption

I've got these logs at level 2 using samba 2.2.3a (installed from 
samba.org rpms ) under linux (kernel 2.4.17)

here is the earliest instance of trouble I can find

I didn't hear about any problems until about 2pm on the 18th
with a report of an inability to install a printer driver
and the rate of error messages in the logs increased from there
I restarted samba at about 3:30
and haven't seen any errors since

have I misconfigured something?
