[Samba] Winbind - wsinfo -u doesn't work.

Hi,
 
I'm trying to get winbindd to work on RedHat 7.2 using the
samba-2.2.3a-20020206 rpm from one of the mirror sites... Basic Samba
file sharing is going OK but the winbind functionality isn't quite
right.

I get the winbindd running and wbinfo -t says that my secret is good but
wbinfo -u gives the message Error looking up domain users. wbinfo -n
works OK.

I've read zillions of messages from the archives of this maillist and
tried everything that I thought looked relevant...
The registry entry restrictanonymous is set to 0, the group everyone is
in the Pre Windows 2000 group and Prewin2k is checked on the machine a/c
for the Samba server...
 
Any hints about where to look for a solution will be greatfully
accepted...
