We changed things :-)

Use 'passdb backend = ldapsam:ldap://my.ldap.server:port unixsam' for
2.2 like behaviour.

The unixsam thing might or might not go away during the course of 3.0
alpha, and the entire passdb subsystem is in for a rewrite...)
