samba support XP?

Yes, Samba supports both XP and 2000.  XP is straight 
forward, once you set encrypt passwords to yes.  No 
reg hack required.  I'm using it with 4 XP boxes right 
now.  If you are ok with clear text passwords, I think 
you can hack the registry for XP or 2000 to accept 
cleartext passwords to a network share.
