I avoid all password/security issues on my home network with:

[global]
	security = SHARE
	guest account = ftp
	hosts allow = 192.168.

[AllFiles]
	comment = All Files
	path = /
	read only = Yes <--- make this NO if you want to be able to write.
	guest ok = Yes

However when I try to map a drive to it a user_name, password dialog is displayed. I have tried to enter my user_name to the LINUX box but it doesn't work. What user name and password is this requesting? Is there any way so this dialog is not shown (connect automatically)? Thanks for any help!
