Printing with SAMBA and a Windows 2000 Client... !??

Like Jerry mentioned already; '...and is not really the recommended
configuration.'
Just to get it to work; I guess I want to prevent the Win 2k client to
download the printer drivers from the Samba server. That's where the problem
starts for me at this moment.
But, I'm also really curious what the 'recommended configuration' would be.
I can't really help you out on this one, Wade. Still in the dark myself.
Dimitry

This fix seems all well and good, unless you want the clients to download
the drivers from the samba server. Does anyone have any idea how to make
this portion work? I've been beating my head against the monitor with this
one...

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for your answer.
>What printer model?
An old Deskjet 600. [ Although it still works fine, I'm planning to buy a
new one ;) ]

I'll see if I can find the settings you described above. And try to make it
work. I'll let you know.
Thanks,
Dimitry
