[Samba] samba compile broken at summary

Hello,

I'm trying to build samba 2.2.3a rpm (Red Hat 7.1) using the samba2.spec
file from the source tree and keep getting an error:

...
checking whether to support ACLs... no
checking whether to build winbind... yes
checking configure summary
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.49645 (%build)


RPM build errors:
    Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.49645 (%build)
[root at geko60 SPECS]#

Has anyone seen this problem before I dive head first into a protracted
debugging session?
