[Samba] Periodic freezing of Windows clients

I take that back, I'm still having the same problems. I guess it's a
samba problem rather than the filesystem.
Anyone experiencing periodic freezing of Windows clients (not due to
oplocks)?

2.2.3a or 2.2.1a? What kernel version? I switched to ext2 and haven't
noticed any problems *so far*. Perhaps the problem occurs when
kjournald and samba try to flush at the same time, under high load (?).

I don't know if this helps but I'm running RH7.2 on ext3 with Samba
2.2.1a &
Quotas, I haven't heard any users complain yet, (300 total users). I
don't
believe any of them are using Outlook though, but they are using the
Samba for
their Groupwise MailArchive. Hope this helps...
