[Samba] Problem compiling Samba 2.2.3a on Redhat 7.1

I'm attempting to compile Samba 2.2.3a on Redhat 7.1 and keep getting an 
error during the configure poration of compile as follows:

checking whether to support ACLs... no
checking whether to build winbind... no, no unix domain socket support on 
linux-gnu
checking configure summary
ERROR: No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config


Does anyone have any insight on this?
