[Samba] Problems with DOS Archiv Bit

Hi!
I am using samba-2.2.1a-32 and i need the dos archiv bit for backup 
reasons. I have set dos filemode = Yes in the smb.conf and it works fine 
when i create new files or copy files to the samba share. But it does not 
get set when i modify a file. Does anyone have the same Problem? Or even a 
solution why the archiv bit does not get set on modification?
