The first time it happened, it was with a few switches.  To see whether or not it was a
./configure issue, i did a ./configure "as is", without any switches and I still had the same
problem.  The ./configure with the switches shown in the previous email was done 'for the sake of
the example'.  It happens regardless of what I set as switches.
