[Samba] Bad name/password pair

I just upgraded the server and installed a newer version of samba(2.2.1a). I copied the old smb.conf over the new one and both smbd and nmbd starts with no error message. The smbclient -L shows the shares it should, but I can't connect to any shares with the smbmount command. It give the error message "ERRSRV - ERRbadpw (Bad password - name/password pair in a Tree Connect or Session Setup are invalid.)". But I know the password is correct.
