Hi there.

Have you tried to supply parameter such as : "-o username=<username_on_nt_"
while executing smbmount ?
Please try the above parameter. It works many times on my Linux(Samba) box
VS NT Shared Directory.

Usually, I issue command as follows :
#smbmount //192.168.12.101/shared /mnt/import -o username=levinq
After that, smbmount will prompt me for password related to username
'levinq'.
