192.168.1.127 is not within the mask 255.255.255.128, you would want to
use 192.168.1.128
Then again ... I'm not sure if that's right either, you may want to use
.255 anyway, but I'm sure that .127 isn't right.
On my some of my FreeBSD machines, I have a subnet mask the same as yours.
When I ifconfig with that subnet mask, it automagically calculates the
broadcast address, which is still .255.  So my gut instinct (considering
the BSD TCP/IP stack is generally considered the reference implementation)
is to tell you to use .255.
