samba and NT network

I don't know what an ISA firewall is.
The ports you need to have open on the server are 137,138,and 139. I
forget which protocol is used for each port, some use tcp, other udp.
You might try nmap to scan your samba server from a client and see if those
ports are open.
Or, use tcpdump to look at the interaction when a client tries to access the
server.
Now, this could be another problem. I would go through the DIAGNOSIS.txt
found in docs in the samba sources. I believe the last person got stuck at
step #8. He got system error 53 when he tried to find the samba server with
netview, I believe.
