	Yes, I'm sure. It's the BSD lpd daemon that came with RedHat 6.2.

	I may not have been clear. They start crashing when they attempt to
ACCESS the printer. When they print to it, after the crash, it seems to work
okay.

	It may not be getting that far on the Windows boxes. LISB, it starts
crashing after accessing the printer.

	Huh? AFAIK, when configured smbd will use the system's printing
commands to print. AFAICT, it has always done this, whether implicitly or
explicitly configured.
