This presumes that there is a .spec file in the tar.gz, in samba's case
it will pick a random spec-file from the appliance packaging directory.
Instead, download the tarball, cd to packaging, run bin/update-pkginfo
{version} {release} and then run 'sh makerpms.sh' in the RedHat subdir
(presuming RedHat). This will build both a binary and source RPM.
