Hello Diane,
I have been able to load 2.0.7pre3 awhile ago (before the released version
of 2.0.7 was out) on an HP-UX 10.20 system; didn't get the problem about cc
-O, or any missing include files;
On my system the c compiler is:(from swlist output)
C-ANSI-C     B.10.20.00    HP C/ANSI C Compiler

Don't know what you are using.
Also can you post a list of the include files it didn't find; perhaps that
would give us a clue.
Thanks,
Don
