Netbios names cannot contain spaces;
You could try starting your netbios name with a number instead.
Hope this helps,
Don

Subject: Net-BIOS Name Parameter in smb.conf...

I am trying to distinguish my Debian fileserver from a large amount of
machines in a domain. I thought putting the machine on the top of the list
would be the best way. The best way to do that is to put spaces in the
netbios name, but both that parameter and netbios alias seem to use space as
a delimeter. I tried quotes but they just appear in the name. Is there any
way to get spaces into the name? If there is a better way to achieve this
goal, that'll work too. :)

Thanks,
Jarret Raim
