long printer names

Hallo,

it seems to be impossible to handle with long printer names
in printcap and use this printers on a win-pc. At now I use
Samba 2.0.7 (Linux and Solaris) and WinNT 4.0 SP5. Only
printers with no more than 12 chars works well, printers
with longer names one can see in the network view of the
win-pc but printing is impossible (error in file name ?!?).
Any help or hints are welcome.
