Installation error

Sorry for what I sure is a simple query but I haven't been able to find a
solution form the documents to this (probably looking in the wrong place).

While running "make" in the installation process of Samba 2.0.7 onto Solaris
8 (Ultra5) I get a fatal error. The details of this are:

Compiling smbwrapper/wrapped.c with -fpic
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `smbwrapper/wrapped.po'

Can anyone give me some advice on how to proceed with this error?
