Strange Samba happenings

Hi.  I've been using Samba for a while on my NetBSD box with no problems 
what-so-ever, and use it to share files between my Macs and PCs.  Up 
until Saturday, everything was working just fine, but all of a sudden (a 
little too technical, I know heh) it stopped working.  The only thing 
I've changed on that box is to recompile Apache so it now has mod_perl 
and PHP4.

Here is a partial log of what is happening in /var/log/messages:

here is what my log.nmb looks like [first I should say that I having a 
bit of a trouble with my DNS (@home's dns actually) i have an IP, but my 
hostname does not resolve to anything.

My smbd seems to be started however:

Swat reports that smbd is running but that nmbd is not.
