No. You can use local drivers. That is what I do.
When I say dump the file, I mean print the job to a file. Then, on the
server, try cat file > /dev/lp0 or whatever. (I am not at home right now and
can't try this out, but it should work. Try echo Hello > /dev/lp0 first, as
root. This assumes that lp0 is your printer port.
Is your printer a postscript printer?
Can you hook up the windows box to the printer directly? How does printing
go then?
