Connection delay

Hi Peter

How are you starting Samba, as a Daemon or as an 
inetd service?

Can you try to boot on of your client PC's, and 
as soon as it's up, try telnet to your Samba 
server and see if you get a long delay from when 
connection is made to login prompt?
