 I assumed that the second question asked if you can do replication with 
Samba, such as ycan be done between a PDC & BDC in the NT-only world.

It is my understanding that "No", you cannot have replication of 
directories between a Windows box and a Samba box.  (If I am wrong, I am 
sure that some kind soul on the list will correct my misunderstanding :-).
