mapping drive on HOME

I'm new this sort of thing, so forgive me if my solution seems naive.

Does the variable %H pull the profile home directory from the domain? If
so, then %H should contain the entire UNC. Ergo, you could use "net use k:
%H".

Subject: mapping drive on HOME

Why can't I create a map drive to each individual home-directory with using
the command "net use k: \\server\%H" in a logon script which is executed by
many users (the connection of the other map drives in the script are ok)?
Windows says that the share hasn't been found.
