Need help with a printing problem

We had printing from a redhat box working to a printer connected to our NT 
network.  Now all of a sudden it has stopped.

when you start the lpd service it says that it has started successfully.  But 
when you send a print job it responds with the following message:

lpr: connect: Connection refused.
jobs queued,  but cannot start deamon.


I am in dire need of some assistance........PLS Help!
