Samba as a Login Domain

What you need is not samba for mac access, but a package called netatalk.
Together Samba and Netatalk will give your macs and pcs access to the
server.

I have configured Samba -2.0.5a and want to configure as a Server so that my
Win9x ;Macintosh clients can access .Which was eariler been done through Win
NT.
can any one tell me is it possible to replace NT with Samba and how ??
