win95 doesn't use encrypted passwords; win98 does. if your samba is configured to use encrypted passwords, then your win95 clients will not be able to see the server. you have two solutions: 1. Update w95 clients with the encrypted pass patch or 2. setup the server and the w98 clients to use non-encrypted passwords
