setting the security = DOMAIN..need help

Hi,

I have samba running on a Linux box and wish that the users have access
through a Windows NT PDC. When i set the security in the smb.conf file to
Domain give my password Server name and domain logins = yes I also specify
my workgroup. 
However the authentication done by the samba server is still local and i
can not get it to use domain authentication. Can anyone help.
