Problem Adding File Share

I am trying to  add a Share that points to the Documents Folder in a 
given users  home folder.  I receive a resource unavailable message 
when I try to access it.  The relevant enrtry in smb.conf is:
[Documents]
	comment = Your Documents
	path = /~/Documents
