Hello,

We've been running Samba 2.x since it's out, and are happy with it!

We have several smb-servers and several workgroups. In 1 of the
workgroups, authentication is done on Samba server A (Solaris for
Intel), while most (not all) of the client mounts happen from Samba
server B (Debian Linux). On server B, I see a lot of write failures in
the logs. On server A, I rarely see them.

I read the mail archives about the problem, and saw the suggested
solution (reverse DNS settings). But our clients always have had reverse
DNS records, and I have the problem on only one server.

Another strange thing is that there is always exactly 300 seconds (6
minutes) between 2 "write failure" logs.

Server A is a secondary DNS server, server B is not a DNS server. Could
that be the "problem"? I have other (Linux) servers with Samba which are
not DNS servers and do not have the errors...

What can I do to further debug? BTW, I use Samba 2.0.7 on all machines.
