Upgrade to 2.0.5

Hi all,
I just changed to Samba 2.0.5 from 1.9.18, using the same smb.conf (I
think) and suddenly nothing works.:(((
I just copied my backup smb.conf file over the new one (in German) and
then did:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start
An smbstatus reports Samba version 2.0.5a and no services used.
The message in WinNT is "The system cannot find the path specified"
which would appear if I had my "workgroup" setting wrong (or the server
were actually looking at another smb.conf file).
Any ideas or known troubles with this newer versions?
