logon path and samba 2.0.6

I've upgrade from samba 2.0.5a to samba 2.0.6 and I have
problem with the "logon path" parameter.

I have set logon path = \\%N\%U\windows\profiles and now with
samba 2.0.6 the profiles are stored in the wrong directory "\\%N\%U"

Is it a bug in samba? or is the parameter "logon path" no longer
needed, because I've deleted the logon path parameter and
now set the

     logon home = \\%N\%U\windows\profiles

and for now everything works correct for me even my logon scripts with
the use of NET USE H: /HOME works correct, so that the drive H:\
is the full home directory of my linux-machine ( /home/bjoern/ ) .

I use windows 98 and linux with kernel 2.2.5
