WHATS NEW IN Samba 2.0.6

I collected a copy of samba2.0.6 but I thought the notes said that
there was new syntax for smbmount in that system, which I cannot see
instructions on how to build it at all.  There is the README-smbmount
disclaiming all knowledge, and there are files
source/client/smbmount.c and smbumount.c but they do not seem to
compile, so I assume I have failed to discover something.
  I use smbmount in my network as it seems the only way to make the
files on the aging SGI visible on the GNU/Linux and Windows machines.
