Application Metering

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone done work relating to 'Application Metering' - ie, allowing, say 5 copies of an executable to be accessed from the Samba server, with requests for more 'copies' to be denied ??

There are commercial packages available for NT/Netware etc, but so far, I have not discovered any such tool/utility for Samba.

If nobody has done any work towards this, could someone point me towards the appropriate section of the Samba server daemon to start experimenting to implement such a facility.
