HI SAMBA list,
I have just installed Samba 2.0.2 on two different test servers, one
HPUX 10.20, one Linux RedHat 5.2. I did the configure and make install
without any problems.
This happens on both servers:
I connect to my tmp share.
Now a ps shows two smbd processes, which is normal.
Then I begin to copy some files to tmp.
Suddenly I have 6-7 smbd processes, all of them started by the mother
smbd process.
A smbstatus still shows 1 user connected.
After a while, again I have only 2 smbd processes.
Is this the normal way in 2.0.2?
This is my smb.conf on the HP, the Red Hat is almost the same:
