samba broken

Hi David,
It almost sounds like Samba is not creating or communicating with the socket 
layer, needed to create the 137,138,and 139 sockets that samba uses to 
communicate for Netbios over TCP/iP for some reason - have you brought down and 
back up you Ux workstation to make sure you clear out any problems at that 
level?  You could use netstat -an and grep for 137,138 and 139 to make sure 
that those ports are being created and listened to...
