Well...technically, I covered swapping out an NT file server
with a Samba box using security = domain.  Didn't really cover 
profiles because this is a whole 'nother issue.  The problem 
is related to the ACL's on registry keys in ntuser.dat.  Check 
the list archives for samba-ntdom as we've talked about this a 
lot.  Someone posted a small Win32 program for changing the 
ACL's.  You might also look the source code to the newsid.exe 
tool on www.sysinternals.com
