Win95 DFS re-director and SAMBA user mode

Are there any known issues between the win95 DFS re-director
and SAMBA?

I have a win95 client with the DFS support installed. It can
access security=server SAMBA unix boxes fine. Security = user SAMBA
servers fail to authenicate the connection.
I resolved the problem by re-installing all Win95 networking and
not re-installing DFS support.
We use DFS support for our software archives.
